It is starting

Heck, we have been smashing records with the heat. First time ever, temperatures hit 110, in October and not just once. The highs will be just above 100, through next Sunday. I don’t kick but, a lot of people do.

It's been beautiful here in Oregon, 70's and 80's all week. I got to go for a cruise in a FCBO members '68 Newport convertible, a very nice ride he has, and top down weather couldn't have been better. I've been putting in 12 hours days with one 17 hour marathon. Work will look easy when I get back, and I have to work at least a week straight. This was an awesome way to close out my summer.

Still pretty nice weather here with the lows being a bit below normal and the highs being a bit above normal but the humidity is almost Las Vegas numbers! Pretty crazy for my area....I'm only 9 miles from Galveston Bay.

Weather has been great here also. Still can't seen to get any of my stuff done.
Spent the day on someone's GM thing. Got to put a stop to that and soon.

Highs here have been in the mid 90's or higher until today. Recorded 97 in my shop yesterday but today....way different story. The low was 61 and the high in my airy shop is 77 so far. Out under the carport behind my shop is 75 and the temps back there are usually 3-5 degrees hotter. Hit 100 under the carport yesterday.....

High was 61 today. It was 43 this morning. Yesterday was sweatshirt weather with a north wind. Next week could be back into the 80's or 90's so they say.

From what they’re saying, the 100’s could be gone for a while. We smashed all kinds of records this year. Who knows what Mother Nature will do?

We got some much needed rain Sunday and Monday. The week has been cool, 40's, but has been gradually getting warmer, 60's today, maybe 70 Saturday

Last year was the killer heat.....this summer wasn't nearly as bad and at least we got plenty of rain in the early summer but now it's been pretty dry. Last year mature trees died and so did some people. We got a hurricane this summer tho and people died from having no electricity.

I don’t remember how many records we broke this year but, we had a 113 consecutive days over a 100. The previous record was, 76, in 1993. We also had, 61 days, at 110, or above. I’ve seen 100 days without rain, a few years, since I’ve been here. I have never minded the heat, my guys used to give me crap cause I didn’t sweat much in Illinois and Wisconsin, and I remember in the 90’s working in 100+ with humidity. There were instances of people dying, we were always careful and conscious about staying hydrated, Gatorade, and if anyone felt anything, went into the basement of the house we were building and chill. Fortunately, I never had an incident. I will say, I have learned to sweat here! The guys I still talk with back there, say it’s about time! I’m assuming the deaths, from lack of air conditioning, from loss of power?

A couple beautiful days this weekend, high 60's to low 70's, sunny and light breeze. Great for October
Ours have dropped, 60’s in the morning, 80’s 90’s during the day. Supposed to hit 100’s , end of the week, then it should be good for a while.
