Need Advice on How to Lower My D100

This link is very helpfull good help for the step by step
modifications especially to choose the parts..... remember its not a" just order kit " directly from the catalog or a manufacturer company most of the time you will have to scrounge for the right piece but it's part of a nice hobby aint it?.

It was a pretty simple mod. I choose not to cut the springs. The axle flip the same except we used car spring plates. I now need to remove the helper springs. As you can see the front is a little higher than the rear. I’m thinking of putting some shock springs to bring the rear up just a bit

Yes really simple and i love the stance when lowered . Nicer with fat tyres on the rear 265/60/15 on 10x15 rims
255/60/15 on 7x15 front.

Just got an alignment last week. Drove it down to Tucson and tracked great. Only problem now is the steering. Installed the drag link backwards. Big FOOPA!!!.

Axle flip in the back is nice and easy. Just need a new spring mount pad welded to the axle after you set the pinion angle. It is also a good idea to set the angle of the shocks different. I set mine to the same degree as a Dart.

Can anybody point me to a set of drop shackles that are actually made for a 72-93 DODGE, and don't need to be modified, with the correct inner diameter and width bushings?

I have successfully had the front lowered with the van LCAs but now for the rear: I would also like to find where I can get a set of drop shackles that would work on my '77 D100. I don't see any on the usual websites.

I have a pair that I got from Orielys. I never used them in that I went with the axle flip route.
 
Here's a question - why do people post negative comments on posts they have no interest in, for no real reason? Is it because they are so miserable that they need to spread it around so they don't feel so alone?

he probably is talking about me.... I have been on FABO and the FMJ site related to this one for far longer.... I didn't know this site existed much before that....
 
Any 72/93 lowered truck has a perfect stance. Shortbed look fat( chubby) with big fat tyres on the rear. Look like she is sticking on the road easy to handle and carry small goods. Love her as daily driver. Got a 85 crewcab 4x4 which is lifted 5 " with 35s" like her as well and think a 4wheel drive is such a nice BIG truck lifted that way. My other truck is my beloved 73 D200 former fire truck in normal standard condition and i enjoy driving her a soon as i can .
Next project wil be a vintage 46 Job rated pickup will gave her a Hot-rod treatment lowered frame Ifs and a turbo super six... To be honest love them all whenether been in a good day or not, you can see the smile in my face while enjoying driving them.

I like the 73 and the stepside. my son has an 80 stepside that Id like to have. his is /6 and 833 od powered.
 
Do what you want. To some of us it is just a redundant maneuver. But don't take it as criticism.
 
The 73 has 255x60x15 tyres on 16x7 wheels. The 79 utiline is lowered using Dakota dropped spindles and axle flip tyres are 255/60/15 15x7 rims for front 275/60/15 for the rear on 15/10" just love the stance.
