Love to see your LRE, I have one myself which is about to be finally started work on. I notice you don't have the original air cleaner or is the original been put away?
Bear love your truck also, it looks like it could devour all that gets in its way.

Thanks BirdMan . It had to get worse before it could get better . Other then the bad body mounts in the front I found that the radiator support was pretty well hacked and rusted . I had to pull most of the plow frame off to be able to get to everything . I swapped it out with a clean 89 support that I sanded , acid etched primed , and then painted with chassis saver paint in all the lower critical areas and then painted the whole thing again with a good quality black paint . I'm still kicking myself that after all that work I forgot to get some pictures of the support before I hid it all with the grill and plow frame . To add to this project I also ended up changing the front drivers side fender because that had developed some rust issues as well . Like they say , " It's not just a job it's "always" an adventure" ! lolLooks really good Bear. I bet its was quite a job, looks like all the snowplow mount had to be loosened or removed to be able to get the grills out and back in.72*birdman
Looks like you could do some serious damage with that front bumper ! If I drove an import I think I'd be getting out of your way if I were in front of you . lol

OUTCH ! That was a hellava hit ! I'd hate to see the other guy !It could.... I found out the hard way that having a factory front bumper and custom build heavy-duty grill guard just cave right in and destroyed my frame in a head on collision I was in in March 2014...........
OUTCH ! That was a hellava hit ! I'd hate to see the other guy !

I like it ( them ) , I like it ( them ) , All I can say is I LIKE IT ! ( THEM ! ) Your really going nuts on that lil red and it's great because it looks like your covering "every" lil detail . That transmission alone look's to nice to be hidden under the truck . My wife said when she just saw your picture , that she thought that I was the only one to be that anal about details like that . lol I know this is a truck site but now about some detail on that Cuda on the trailer or that Duster in the back ground ? What year is the Cuda ? I say it's a 69 but my wife thinks its a 68 Baracuda ? At least tell me who's right . lol
I hate to disappoint both you and your wife, but the Barracuda is a '67. (the big hint should have been my user name) It's got a 408 stroker in it with a dana 60 - 4.10s. The Duster is a '72 with a 440 and a coil over dana 60 - 4.56s.

LOL ! I'm glad my Warlock isn't as slow as I am some times ! lol It's funny to because I was trying to look so hard at the picture and saying to my wife that I couldn't see any side marker light and maybe it's a 67 that I didn't even think to look at your user name . lol Well at least my wife didn't catch that either ! lol Those are some "sweet" rides ! What do they run in the quarter ? Is the Duster street legal ?
Thanks bear. They both run high 10's but I'm hoping to get them a bit quicker. The Barracuda is my daily driver. It's been dyno'd at 520 HP with the 408.
The Duster was dyno'd at 517 HP. I suppose the Duster could be put back on the street if I muffled it but it no longer has wipers or a heater and would need some street tires. The Barracuda is running cheater slicks on the street.
I Know I've said it before but IIIIIIIII "like" It ! ( them ) lol Your getting me itchy to go racing again . I haven't raced in years . The last cars that I used to run was the 69 Charger ( 9.70's sideways ) that I had and my wife used to run the Dart we have back when we had the other motor In it ( low 11's in street trim ) . But those were years ago . Were working on a 440 Warlock right now and that's definitely going to be seeing some track time when we bring it out . "Thanks" for the pictures !
