NICE transplant Paul! -As you should know by now I'm an avid model builder and this truck I just got like yours and the pics you took make for all the best of model building so...... I am however thinkin' I'm gonna put a 1/25th scale model engine of a Poly 318 in the model, just to be different, and I THINK I might keep it a 2x4 truck instead of a 4x4 (I'm NOT sure on that one yet!) But its fun! And its been a hobby of mine for years so.....

Know of any of the old Dodge '61 to '64's that had poly's in them?

cool model , glad i helped with some hotrod ideas for a 62-64 , i think most would built it as a 4wheel'r , i with check on a guys trucks i found , he's got w300 61-64 . had a couple he was parting down . trying for a cab floor . he has a very useable one . any power series p/u models or 61-71 crewcab ? i'm building a 60 short sweptside , got a 57 short utility hotrod as well .

I'll post as I see 'em to post. Got a FEW cars too!

that 39-40 ford p/u was nice , square chevy 's don't do it from me , 60-68 are cool , in most forms of hotrod . and yes dodge guys are to few and far between . but that means better odds for us , lol . i have guys stop at my shop just because i'm a dodge guy .

Yeah Paul, I felt the same The '40 Ford caught my eye as I LOVE dark Purple & Yellow together.... Other then I wasn't all that impressed, I sadly might have been if I got to see what was powering that truck!

And yeah the Chevy's -Whatever, I DO favor the '55 to '59 Chevy's Just like I'd trade my left nut for a '58 or '59 Dodge W500! But the "square bodies, don't do it for me either I just thought I'd get pics of them to have something to post here for what I've seen!

You ARE right tho, it does make it BETTER for us!

Square body Chevy and GMC trucks work for me, that what I was peppered with growing up, and we're still in production when I got into lifted 4x4's. I prefer a short box, or a Blazer/Jimmy, buy if it's lifted and had bigger tires, it's all good in my book. I like it when they are tastefully enhanced, good word for it.

I'm not sure how this one will end up when being built (You just NEVER know when I'm building a model how it'll end up unless your seeing it built in one of my model building treads)

Have yet to decide how I will build it tho...... As I'm still thinkin' things through in my head..... I have yet to find a frame for under it tho as its a "kit" made in resin by someone to add to a "donor" frame, which I have yet to find!

And the Interior....

Not a bad lookin 1/25th scale Resin model truck, a '61 to '64 Dodge Power Wagon Sweptline D100!!!!

that is so cool , have you thought of pulling coplies off it ? can we get a utility bed from another kit for it ? thats the early sweptside , small gate . cool bed on its own .

I didn't make this copy. someone else did! I MIGHT be able to pull another one from my source as he gets them a lot so. (I do a lot of horse trading of model parts) and all so..... As far as a utility bed I can find that too, I just have to find the guy again (shouldn't be to difficult) Those resin bodies truck or utility bed, are cheap tho. the truck goes for about $45, and the utility bed is somewhere in the $20 range (IF I remember correctly) Unless you meant Utili-line bed (Step-Side) I might have that!

yes utililine , sorry got the side swept in there , lol . and what about a crewcab ? or do i just have to make it from to cabs ? i've never really built a matching model of a real one , never built one as the box or kit designed . so if i must cut one up its fine , lol . and what about the 60 , and the 36-38 p/u did anyone do a kit ?

For a crew cab you need to splice 2 cabs together. I got 3 Lil Red Kitsap some can make a model.of my Crew cab.

just snapkit'd an cartoony 48 a40 austin gasser together it was nos , but not now , lol . starting to do an inventory of what i've got in my scale 1/8 1/24 1/32 models , still nos unbuilt , built , and many starts and parts from me and my buds . it will take some time to complete that task , lol . along with the rest of my projects . and i'm moving around some stored parts to gather up more room in the shop . its beginning to be a warehouse and not the shop to build in .
