It is starting

Anything that tall has to leave a foot print. Guess the black tails are deer and not jack-rabbit.
Yep that would be a good one - like the state admitting big foot existed.
I have heard all kinds of strange stories from relatives up there. Most in the timber industry.
Yeah bigfoot mythos prospers pretty well here in the northwest. We did think it was pretty weird though, they were all broken off at the same height. My buddy thought for a second maybe winter ice build-up causing them to break over, but they wouldn't all break at exactly the same point if that was the case. They weren't cut, and were all clean snapped in one spot (not like a bunch of jackasses trying to break some trees over, it'd be a messy break). We were pretty high up on the ridge, pushing 4000ft, just down from an old rock quarry clearly abandoned for years

Since my hunting season is pretty much over, I figured tonight I'd get some work done in the garage, getting ready to for the Demon restoration. Got an air compressor, 21gal tank, along with the basics to get ready for painting (found a spot for it back in the utility room so I won't go deaf, not the loudest unit but it's up there). Also gonna mimick the neat setup my friend's dad uses: from the compressor, the air goes through a coiled hose where it can cool and condense better, then into a catch can (one tank cycle already has water building up). One problem I figured, going from a 1/4" hose to a 3/8" caused a pressure drop down the line, gotta find a 3/8" coil hose. Good thing Gramps has only 20a circuits in the garage, all these tools I'm getting sure want their amperage (got a stud welder kit also, gonna get a mig welder come black friday so I can hop on body work). In the meantime, I got pegboard to nail up on the wall

The old piston compressors are quiet compared to the new vain pumps. I use an old Sears two cylinder compressor 7.3 cfm at 90 psi.. Not quite large enough for effective sand blasting. Does ok with most air tools if one forgets the high volume air sanders. But yes quiet but not silent.

I have a little 20 gallon compressor I got for free years ago, works great for the little I use it, but I I use an impact or air rachet, it will run quite often. But it gets the job done.

I hardly ever use an impact wrench, I'ms still quite young compared to you guys so there are so few cases where I wouldn't just go at it by hand

How old are you? I'm 43 and I feel older. I don't use an air tool very often, I like hand tools and taking a little longer to slap things together, I bond with my vehicles more.

The only real air tools I use is a scraper. Now for a impact gun I picked up a 18V ridged cordless. Love that thing got it last year as a free bee when I got a ridged drill driver combo. Bey you did not know this, I did not either but clinched the deal for me since I needed a new drill the old dewalt was going on the third set of batteries, well Rigid has a life time guarantee on batteries if they fail like they all do the replace them free!

I'm only 26, certainly don't feel any older. I hardly get tired out working on any rigs, even so, with my sleep problems a little exhaustion never hurts

Also I tried out my condenser/coil setup more, and my impact wrench doesn't seem to mind it. I just had to re-seal a leak in the connection to the water trap, plus set the regulator a tad higher than what I need further down the line (I'll just get a inline regulator to hookup right to my spray gun). Couple cycles through it and I had some water to drain

Went to the casino with my sister Sunday morning and when we came out that night this is what her new car looked like, thank goodness there is cameras everywhere, and a lady got the plate numbers of the truck, we waited until Monday morning for Bob to pick us up, he was very amused and kinda laughed

Sounds like a hit-and-run asshole ain't gettin away so easy!

Wish the Firebird would get stolen actually hate that car, PIA to work on it is a 99 vert and has no weight in the rear at all, just put it away in the winter! It is the wifes. Just don't like it at all.

Cold and windy, that's fun. Took the trampoline down today, froze my damn fingers on my left hand, hunting is going to be interesting this year. Getting down to 11 near me, but I'm heading north, where it's colder, and maybe some funny stuff on the ground. I have some of those heating packs for my gloves. Hopefully I only need to stay out a couple hours before the Thirty Point Buck walks past!

Its that time of the year. Still trying to get that sealed up for more cold weather. Propane is in the tank and the furnace is on. And it snowed today for the first time this fall.
