FOR SALE 72 and 73 Dodge Cabs for sale

*** I parted out a 72 D300 Camper Special a couple years ago and about all I have left is the cab assembly. If you're doing an accurate restoration on a 72 or 73 there are some specific things that you can only find on a 72/73. This cab is not perfect but still savable. The floor is solid but...

1974 d100 club cab brake lines

First and fore most NEVER EVER but anything from The Right Stuff, bad product and bad customer service. I'm not going to rant and rave about that here but if you want I'll post the video link for all the problems I had on my most recent project. 1973-77 Dodge Truck 4WD 1/2-Ton Std. Cab Shortbed...

    Dodge 2WD 5 x 5-1/2 pattern ???

You are correct. the 72-4 1/2 ton 4X4 were the larger pattern (5 on 5.5) and 8 3/4 was the standard rear axle. And most of those originally had 16 wheels too. I sold the rear I had from a 74 W100 but still have the front.

    Dodge 2WD 5 x 5-1/2 pattern ???

Starting in 1980 4WD changed to the larger 5 on 5.5 pattern, 2WD stayed with 5 on 4.5 through the 1984 model year. For 85 all pickups and vans had the larger pattern. Axel weight rating had nothing to do with it.

    Spindle change

Spindles are the same from 74 to 93. 2WD rotors 74-84 will have the 5 on 4.5 pattern. Late 70's C-bodies and 81-84 2WD pickups have rotors with a slightly larger bearing with the 5 on 4.5 pattern. Axle shafts are interchangeable over the same years for either 8 3/8 or 9 1/4. 8 3/4 axles were...

    Dim dash lights

Bad ground 99% sure. The ground is probably back feeding right now.

    Wiper arms

Some time in the 80's the way the wiper blades attach changed (to a better design in my opinion) also later on they became black instead of the natural dull stainless finish. L & R have a different angle on the end too.

    Dash removal 85 d150

The rosette rivets are for sale in many places. People get all wound up about that for no reason. If you have to replace the dash (for any reason) you're keeping the VIN tag with the vehicle. Not swapping the VIN on a vehicle. The dash is a bolt in part, bolt in parts get replaced, the correct...

    WANTED Wiring harness

84 was a sea-change year for Mopar across the board, a lot of little things. But just that part should be the same, 100 amp alternators will have a different connection. The A/C compressor might feed in from the main harness off the right fender attached to the A/C hoses. I don't have a clear...

79 Macho - gotta brag on this a little bit

Overall size first, factory are usually on the large size. Aftermarket are universal so they can't get too large, and never match the curves of the roof right so they have a tendency to be smaller. and have poor trim quality on the inside especially. Comparing it to pictures of what's in the...

79 Macho - gotta brag on this a little bit

Earlier this summer I scored an incredible addition to my collection. A 1979 Dodge Macho with a lot of options and one of the rarest options you'll ever find in any late 70's Dodge pickup... a factory sunroof! It's a complete project, re-painted the wrong color (factory color is silver) w/ wrong...

When was the first year for volt/vacuum gauges in Adventurers?

I have not seen any in the 72-74 dash, and not sure how they'd fit. The 75-80 dash has a provision for them on the left side. The earliest that I have seen in a factory installed option is 77. After 30+ years of driving, collecting and parting these trucks out I have only seen a 3 or 4 of...

    Dodge service Electrical diagrams

Very common to have connectors that go nowhere (for options that weren't optioned in), especially under dash harnesses.

Parts Geek - good or bad?

The company Parts Geek keeps showing up as I look for parts on line but I'm not sure what kinda service they have. I see a fair number of reviews that are not good for them at all, but they sell a lot of stuff too. SO my question for all of you out there is this... Do you recommend them or not...

    Oil pressure sender

Sounds pretty obvious; the gauge is shot. You can OHM test the wire but if it moves at all something is getting through, so it's not broken. High resistance in a wire like that would be very unusual. That part of the system only uses around 4 volts, it doesn't take much of a wire to keep up...
