Just picked up an 89-350 LE it's been sitting 10 years and other than that is in superb cosmetic shape. I have a couple of 5 speed 12v's and a couple of 77's with 318's ....I am not familiar with the 89 360 and will need some help with the throttle body and need to maybe undue some alterations that were made on engine . #1 they disconnected (removed a belt) on some kind of a seized pump, I think it's a smog pump?? Is that correct?I I got the crank to move a little bit before I bought it , but it's bores are now full of marvel mystery oil to which I made more mysterious....131k original miles on it and not a dent some(very little) rust through on wheel wells, It's single wheel, not a dually. Any insight is appreciated, Rafe
 
Wouldn't worry about the smog pump one bit.
89 was the first year of that TBI on a 360, 2nd year on 318s. I've spent more time and $$ fighting that system than I can begin to recount.
Since, I treat that system like an uninvited house guest
As long as it works it can stay. It starts giving me fits it goes in the trash in favor of a carb conversion. Especially as they get older and parts are less plentiful. The base motor (long block) was pretty decent.
