Not sure why they would make a tacky assemble lube. I like my crankshafts to turn freely by hand even at those clearances.

Been there, done that. These help but the ones with the adjustable stop are the only way to go. OTC4389Yup, I was thinking the same thing on the lube. Sporty I was installing the ring onto the piston when It broke.
I have never broke one putting them on the piston. I have never used the ring installation tool, I always roll them on by hand. There’s no difference in the bottom end between LA and MagnumI'll tell ya I'm really hating this magnum. I never had problems like this with any other LA, B, RB, builds.
