Life's Changes

got the last wall stuffed with Styrofoam.
now Where to put the tank.
Since the sleeper/ bike ramp won't stay on the truck.
Think am going to mount it on the drivers side, since the original tank also fuels from that side,
and want to mount a generator under the bed on that same side. water tank is on the passenger side.

Haven't decided what to do with the spare, used to mount it under the bed

"Spare" you mean we are supposed to carry a spare. Yes I should get one but same as you where to put it. Lift gate prevents it from being put in the back. Any where put it would be in the way. Don't know what to tell you.
As far as tank location. This going to be an auxiliary or a transfer tank?

had the spare mounted under the bed, on the passenger's side, like what you see on semi trailer (tire carrier)
tank is for transfer, later also fuel supply for APU ( generator)

What I find funny is my other truck > plenty of "Spare" storage under the bed, but nowhere to put that aux. tank . on the car hauler looking to mount another factory tank, on the pass. side.
in that pic it shows a fuel neck ( in cab tank), I removed it when I converted the Hauler to CTD- 5 speed, has a CTD tank in frame

Went to stacks on the exhaust in hopes of leaving room on the passenger side for an auxiliary tank. Have not tried it yet. Have one with an electric pump to transfer to main tank or pump direct. Filler will be on the drivers side.
Untill it gets od its affordable range is limited anyway.

Fuel tank commanded the left front ,the outlet valve didn't want to share space.
so the storage had to move to the rear.
do one, do both.
Now got more room for the gen (drivers side)
Water tank (passenger side)

got the bends today...
worked on the interior end panels, started with the doorway, it was the most complicated bends, 1/8" in 12" pitch for the door to stay open.

I'll remove the protective plastic, just prior to final assembly.

life changes..
had to change direction a little
need the Truck to earn its keep, if it wants to go on road trips

2nd pic is not another truck load, it's my "Wood shed" where it ended up
(dodge bed, on the ground, some metal roofing, and a camper topper)...lol

My friends sons loaded cut / split the wood for me. (exchanging favors)
About half way, them loading the wood
say, Do you want to go get another truck, for the rest of the wood, make 1 trip....????

I Say... WHAT
you must drive a Chevy.. (he does)
Then when I pointed out how much room the stack took up >. 1 1/2 bed full.
agreed it was no problem for the old Cummins Dodge
Heck, I almost want to leave the load on, it rode really smooth

moved the sleeper into the shop to get the floor measurements. bend up the stainless.

I totally understand the smooth ride. One can not imagine it even being the same vehicle. With approximately 5200# bricks on the 82 we were floating as in a luxury cruiser.
