It is starting

They have convinced me to go rent a skid steer instead of doing it by hand. Will see what that is going to cost first. Just might do three spots instead of one.
Mechanical advantage will be worth the cost. Time= Money, you never seem to have much dry time, so get it done and be done. I get being cheap, I live that way, but sometimes you just gotta pony up and go with whatever advantage you can.

Wish the Cat track job was still available I opened this hole with years ago. A little big for what I now need to do though. This is more fine grading than anything. So far 3 inches on the front side and about 7 inches on the back. 40 feet x 24 feet. I filled this spot in with the garden tractor and front blade this spring. Before that it was just a swamp every time it rained. Unfortunately the garden tractor is not heavy enough to move what needs to be gone now or it would have been much closer when I worked on it earlier.

Beautiful day today, 80 and sunny but some humidity though. I can't complain though because it won't be long and winter will be here

92 with real feel of 101. Humidity is only 48%. Will be in the upper 90's early next week. Still moving dirt. Down to just finish grading. The big Bobcat went back this morning. Moved about 30 yards of dirt yesterday while sitting in the cab with A/C. That makes quite a pile of dirt. Got all the holes filled in the yard again and gravel drive graded.
If not for the expense I could have used it for a few more days.

Good to hear you got a lot done with the Bobcat!

84 and humid when I finally steeped out side at 1:30 this afternoon. Wasn't bad with the window was down in a drive to get supplies for the fridge and pantry. Talking with the neighbor I hear we are getting mid to upper 90's this coming week. I'll be doing any work on cars in the morning after work before the heat sets in. And going in at 10:30 at night after we switch to 8 hour shifts. Now if I want overtime, I can work a 16 hour double. :wtf: But I'm sure I'll work a few, unless I find me sponsorship, but that ain't happening anytime soon.

The first of six precast concrete 20 ft long by 18" wide pads got put in place tonight. Got to blasted hot about 6 pm in the sun. Was not bad earlier in the afternoon with a breeze. Waited till the sun started to sit to go back out. Finished up using my headlight.

What is you are doing again? I lost track of what project you are on.

While I was at the casino today Bob sold his 73 Chev truck to our son, I know it was hard to do knowing our son is going to turn it from a mans truck to a boys truck, 8ft box to 6ft box and lowering it!

7 pm and still 95* almost no breeze at all. Been out with the new mattock chipping clay. Not quite as hard as rock but almost. I have four more feet to go tonight. This is so much fun.

You got the state of misery right. We have all kinds of stages of misery. All four seasons in one day is a little extreme but has happened. Then there is the profound like a week ago it was raining the sun was out and not a cloud to be seen.
The new toy seems to be doing the job. Still work but more was accomplished tonight in a few hour than was accomplished all of Sunday afternoon.

It was in the 90's but I was inside in the A/C. My Monaco started, then died on me. Trouble shooting at lunch time, in the dark! Til it's fixed, all my rides are down.
