So true . Me and the wife used to do that all the time before I got hurt . We used to jump in the car or truck and say , which way today ? North , South , or West ? You never knew were we would end up .

We have just took off many times with no plans and when it got to late we stopped at a Pilot station or a casino parking lot, climbed in the back of our old rig and slept until morning and hit the road again.

Our kids grew up traveling and sleeping in our old van, they just loved it, driving back to Kentucky we always just pulled over and went to sleep and would wake up with Bob already on the road. Now days its just me and Bob doing the road trips.

Yeah , Those were good times . You never knew where we would end up . Whether it be as far North as you can go in Main , NH or Vermont , as far south as Florida , or as far west as Kentucky to visit my wife's Kin and everywhere and ever back road in between . :)
 
It wills starting, where does it end? Had the electrician over today to upgrade our service from 100 amp to 200 amp. Awesome, hot tub will havep power when it gets here Monday. But, our sewer backed up again, 4th time in less than a year. Ever since we got a new toilet (that I didn't think we needed in the first place) cause the old one the porcelain was cracking. New toilets suck in older houses with older plumbing! I'm sure we have spent more than the toilet has saved us. The guy clearing the line however, has 2 old fashioned earth killing units in his garage, and I'm looking at them tomorrow. Hopefully they work with our weird plumbing and we can bring one home. Eco Friendly BE DAMNED! Whoever thought up exo friendly toilets ought to be beaten severely! The one thing you want to be flushed as far away as possible and you want to save water? What a dick. We never had a problem, and I hope we never do again. No one, and I repeat no one, should ever know the Jetter clean people as well as we have gotten to know them. I could tell you their kids names almost. The basement is a muddy mess from the electrician, the steps are muddy as is the entry. So much for my day off. Might have gotten 3 hours of sleep, and I don't even have kids! Gotta love owning a home, told the girlfriend we should sell it, and then rent from the buyer so we can save money! I'm gonna take HALIFAXHOPS methodology and have a hoppy beverage!

Bobs dads family is from Mt Victory Ky in the Daniel Boone National Forest and since Bob is the only Garrison still alive out here he feels he needs to visit his aunt and cousin that he was close to. They all wanted Bob to move back there but Bob hates snakes, tornados, muggy weather, and besides our house is paid for and its the best climate here in Vancouver Wa. I am from San Diego Ca and love it here.

What part of Kentucky is your wifes family from? Yes just taking off in a rig and listening to good music and eating at different places and even gassing up at different stations and people asking about our old rigs is really cool.

There from a little town called Maysville . It's on the Ohio side of Kentucky . I tell yah , every time I've been there , I "don't" want to come back . At night you can look up and almost touch the stars and the people have always welcomed me with open arms . But I'm a country boy at hart so the thought of moving out of the city has always been a dream of mine . Yeah I've always loved traveling the roadways my self , stopping at truck stops and old school general stores , meeting new people and such . There's nothing like it .
