Cooled down some and light rain today.
not quite sure, but listing for one said it had a lift and swapped to 3/4 ton axles (the stickshift one). I did notice it had 6 lug wheelsWhat were the transfer case and axle differences between the two? I would go with the heavier equipped of the two.
Don't know of any 3/4 ton axles with 6 lug wheels.not quite sure, but listing for one said it had a lift and swapped to 3/4 ton axles (the stickshift one). I did notice it had 6 lug wheels

No, GM had 6 bolt 1/2 ton 4x4 axles since the early 70'sSix bolt axles off a Dakota? Didn't GM go to IFS when they went to six bolt axles?
The GM 9 1/2 14 bolt is a non floating axle. The GM 10 1/2 14 bolt is a full floater.Have not seen a 3/4 ton rear axle yet that was not a floater. But guess there is always a first.
I thought my '77 Jimmy had five bolt axles, bit that was 25 years ago, it's kinda hazy. No, GM had 6 bolt 1/2 ton 4x4 axles since the early 70's
