Classic american cars do seem to go all over these days. Well-to-do are buying them to take home to scandinavia, mainland europe, australia, middle east (wealthy parts), even japan! People from all over wanna indulge in a piece of classic americana, but yeah it sucks there's so few in the homeland that can sooner afford to buy it instead

At least one can know it will be cared for.

This year at Carlisle sold a lot of nos parts that were going overseas. Met a few guys Germany, Aus, Switz and of all places Hungary that were loading containers with parts and cars to ship out.

Yep, a lot of foreign collectors/resalers. You ever watch Fast n Loud? Ever see whenever his scandinavian friend comes around to buy cars? He buys cars for clients back home, or buys cars/parts for cars that are popular there. There are quite a few people like that. Although I wonder how long they plan to keep it up, considering a lot of those governments are trying to eventually phase out cars entirely

We talk about it on FCBO because we have a very active European membership and over in Europe with the way their taxes WORK and the way they value their money vs how we do, they will spend the money on a car, and often times keep it for as long as they are alive. Sure some get resold, but they look at their cars in a different way.

I have had one since 1980 and will likely have it till I can no longer drive. But yes know what you mean. By world standards we dont hang onto things very long.

We were that way last year and all spring. We are now about normal. Boat ramp can be seen again.

But it rough when it floods every time it rains.

Halifaxhops have you been mowing the grass in standing water this year?
