I’ve eyeing this 66 D200 for awhile. Finally drove out and took a look. Very nice, totally straight truck some light surface rust where the trim was taken off to polish by the PO. Drivers door has some minor rot on the lower front and rear corners. Small spot in the drivers floor. Other than that SOLID. 318 poly 4 on the floor!

I’m not exactly sure. The 318 Poly and the trucks are all new to me.
Depending on your intentions for the truck if the system works I would not mess with it other than replacing brake shoes if needed.
The hydrovac unit is still available but without doing your own research or going to a shop than does nothing but truck brakes finding anyone that knows how the system works maybe a challenge.
In fact it has been forty five years since I went to school to work on them and have only worked on a few in all those years.
So yes on the option list kind of rare. Heavier duty than power but not air. Kind of surprised this is not a camper special truck.

I definitely appreciate the education and your advice. Once I get the truck home and have time to look through it I’ll try to do a little more research on it. As far as I know it’s not a camper special. I am new to the trucks and especially the swept lines. Is there a good site to use for information specifically for them? Is there a way to decode the Vin tag like there are with the 60s B body cars?

thank you

Nice truck, I was looking for a sweptline when I found my current truck. If the brakes work, I wouldn't mess with them to much. You'll still stop. That is if your ok with stopping on a dime, two quarters and a hand full of nickels!!! The Poly is a good motor. There are a few go fast parts available for it, if that's a path your taking.

I shipped my whole truck from norhtern commiefornia to Ohio for $1200. I didn't think that was too bad. hopfully the intake wouldn't be too much.

I’ll pass. I’ll get the truck the way it is and start there. After doing some research I also read that there is quite a bit of modification to do for the engine to be able to even except that much air in fuel.

i just carried this home yesterday it's a 60 short d100 with that rare bed only two years in original paint , lol .

it's got a later 60's 383 727 8 3/4 . missing some parts but i have them located close by .

Damn!! That’s a nice find. Love the engine/tranny combo. What gear ratio?

what ever the donnor truck was i would think , besides its an 8 3/4 drop out punk'n its what ever you want with a few bolts late . its out of a pickup do to the mounting it doesn't look as it had bottom mounts on it . and no axle nuts so its later than 65 pickup .
