I think Ford still owns the rights to Cummins. Fords 7.3 diesel is the International Harvester diesel. Kim

Kim, as far as I know. Ford has right from the very start. Ford didn’t use them cause they said it was a dinosaur that couldn’t get out of its own way a d would never pass the emissions tests. Kim

No I don’t have any paper work. There was a write up on it a long time ago. It may be in a magazine I’m not sure where I seen it. Google may help us out. Kim

I thought the 7.3 was a good engine but seems like it was the one that couldn't pass the newer emissions crap. Well, even the 5.9 is gone now but it hung around for much longer iirc.

Makes me wonder if Ford is not trying to sabotage the Cummins small truck market in favor of the Ford design. What better way than building a junk engine for your competition.
