It hasn't been too enjoyable in the last year and if it wasn't for trading options, I'd be hurting even worse. About the only stock I'd still doing ok on is Apple (AAPL) and the few oil stocks I have are killing me. And why should China have such a grip on this country? I know it's a world market now but geez, we're not the leader anymore.... :(
 
Only stock I have shares in is Chrysler. As in my three cars.....no money for anything else. I wouldn't even know where to start these days. The market is insane right now.
 
The markets have been insane for many years now! The strategies I used 15 years ago are not working today. When the markets crashed several years ago, I got stuck on a couple of stocks and a buddy mentioned options trading they were confusing at first but they ended up being a life saver in the long run.
 
I started working when I was 14 (12 if you want to count being a lawn mowing fool) and retired with a decent savings when I was 55. Pretty much had to retire as my back was half shot and figured if I didn't retire, I wouldn't be able to walk by the time I was 65! Now that I'm 64, I can still walk but it's a much slower pace.
