Hey 89, how did you remove your cab without a gantry or lift. I saw In the background of one photo you had an engine hoist inside of the cab.

A buddy and I did a body swap on his truck. He lifted one side of the cab, I blocked, and with the bed already off just rolled the frame out from under.

The first pic is how I lifted it off. Worked good for the bed but it bent the reciever hitch mount I welded on to the engine crane when lifting the cab.

The second pic is how I reinstalled it. I welded up a bracket to bolt to the engine crane and attached a 4x4 post to that. Not a real good picture but unfortunately it's all I can find

Thanks 89 much appreciated. I was thinking doing It old school with a bunch of friends but, being In my 50's as well as my friends life gets busy. Getting 1 of my friends to help me Is hard enough. Trying to get 4-6 Is a mission impossible episode. This will help a bunch. By the way It's looking really good. What did you use on the bottom of the cab rust bullet?

I played football In HS was OK but cars were more important because It made It easier to get chicks.

Yeah, he loves his football but not going to make a living doing it! This project has really developed his love of all things automotive! Talking about a car for next summer already. I told him he has to pay the full shot for that one.

You bet, I had to buy all my own stuff. That Is If I wanted nice stuff. I'm a drummer and really into music. I had to buy all my own gear and stereo equipment and that shit gets expensive when your 13. I had to save for a year for my first drum kit. Then another 3 months for a set of cymbals.

Had to buy my own also. Our three boys and two girls also had to buy their own. Plus insurance. I had to work on the girls cars untill they left home.
