Hi guys, working on a 74 dodge d100 adventurer. I want to replace the hard lines but see no pre bent kits available. Am i stuck having to make my own lines? I've reached out to inline tubes and they asked me to remove my lines and take pics of them to email then if they look ok to mail them to then so they can make the lines for the trucks. I may go that route because it would help others at some point. But wanted to reach out to others for suggestions. Thanks

I just make my own. I use stainless steel line. I also have the mastercool 72475 hydraulic flaring tool and a fitting kit. There's youtube vids on it if you want to check it out.

Thanks man. I thought about making the lines, the only thing that made me nervous was the flaring part. I've never done it but remember watching my uncles when I was kid and all the cursing and yelling when it didn't work lol. I might google that hydraulic tool and watch a YouTube vid on it. Thanks again for the advice.

Flaring lines isn't a scary thing. But for brake lines you HAVE TO double flare them. A copper gas line only needs to be single flared

First and fore most NEVER EVER but anything from The Right Stuff, bad product and bad customer service. I'm not going to rant and rave about that here but if you want I'll post the video link for all the problems I had on my most recent project.

Both of these are the stainless version. I only put on stainless if it's more than a daily beater. There's no rust contamination from the inside and always looks nice on the outside. Stainless is very hard, it bends fine for routing but if you are going to make your own you WILL need a hydraulic flare tool (Hydraulic Flaring Tool Kit) for the ends. And a tubing bender is a good idea too with stainless, just to reduce the chances of kinking the line making sharper bends. In Line Tube kits I've gotten in the past have always been very nice and dropped right in. Or if you're going to make your own the have everything you'll need, I've made a lot of pieces and made a lot of complete kits.

Thanks for the info captain. I've never used rightstuff but did look at them. Inline tube I've used a couple of times, only downside is they don't offer a kit for the club cab. They did say I could take the long brake line that ties the front and rear together (if that makes sense) and send it to them to make but I'd still have to order the short bed kit in addition to the long hose. Or i can get all of the hoses off and send them in for them to make and they'd have the blueprint on file to offer club cab brake lines. It would be nice for them to offer others in the future but guess I'll play it by ear and see how the other lines come off. Thanks again for the advice, it's all very much appreciated
