I just discovered something I had never heard before. I have a 1970 D100. When I bought this truck it had after market wheels on it. I wanted a look closer to factory, so I went to the local wrecking yard and found a set of wheels and dog-dish caps from that year. Since installing them I have...
I would bet it was not "born" with a 440 but as a person who has seen and been in a fair share of "Strato Blue" (see interior and door sills) crew cab, four speed pickups, I know an Air Force castoff when I see one. Door tag says this was originally a 225ci.
Am I the only person that thinks that this guy is delusional? 14,000.00 for this 1968 former US Air Force rust bucket? That would make my rust free, unrestored 1970 D-100 with less than 80k miles worth about 50k.

I stand corrected. I should have said metal fab shop. Although, to be honest, the metal in the factory pedestals is not all that thick and is cut from sheet stock. They can be formed like factory pedestals. They don't need to be welded to obtain strength.
A good sheet metal fabrication shop would be able to make pedestals to accommodate any seat you choose. An added bonus would be to have stereo speakers or sub woofer incorporated into them. Just my two cents.

I have never taken any sharp blows to the head that would make me dumb enough to want to jump on an open machine and go fast through a blizzard. Did it one time in my teens, never again.
