HI guys, looking for a Dana 44 8-Lug wheel hub in decent nick, to fit a W200 1980-1993. Will have the splined outer hub for engagement/disengagement of 4WD. Happy to organise shipping and pickup from wherever.
Any help much appreciated.
Just an update here for anyone else looking to do the same conversion.
The 75-79 fulltime D44 axle will need the following parts swapped to complete the Part time 4x4 conversion,
- Front knuckles
- Spindles
- Wheel hubs
- Outer stub shafts
these can be taken from an 80-93 D44 axle, straight...
Much appreciated. I was just wondering if I need any other parts because of the full-time 4wd system in these trucks in the late 70's. Thought maybe I might need to swap part of the hubs/knuckles/bearings for an earlier/later part-time system component.
Any help much appreciated.
Sorry mate, didnt make it clear enough. My truck is a 77 W200, I havent seen any W200's with a bolt pattern other than 8 x 6 1/2, but then again I havent seen all that many.
In my original documentation, it states the stock wheels are 16.5 x 6.75, on 9.5x16.5E tires. I am after the backspacing...
Pulled the wheels off my truck this afternoon, found a nice surprise - 2 inch wheelspacers!
Need some help finding the correct wheel backspacing for my truck. 1977 W200. Its got a 4 inch lift, so is currently happily accepting the 35's that are fitted to the current 17" rims, but moving...
HI Guys, Im looking to install a mile marker transfer case conversion kit, should be going in over thext couple days. I got a set of front locking hubs with the kit, just wondering if there are any additional/alternative pieces I will need to adapt the locking hubs to the front axle? I know the...

My 78 W200. Currently running a 440/727, originally a 400. have a 400 stroker project to "take it back to original", will be daily driving it with the 440 till the 400 is ready. Not expecting to finish it any time soon, been waiting over a year for rods!
Thanks! That's what it looked like as I was trawling through websites of various wreckers.
I even tried finding local alternatives, most Chrysler Valianta in Oz got the 904, but some got the small block 727. From what I could see, they were all cast into the column surround as well.
That's what I thought. It's a long way to send headers over here from summit only to have them not fit. Looks like I'll have to keep looking.
I've sent email enquiries to Moparts and Bob Mazzolini racing, so hopefully get a good response.
Ok. Now that makes sense. I'm building a 499 based on a 400 B block. My truck is a 78 W200, P/S, P/discs up front.
So far I can only find headers for 61-71 trucks with the 1 7/8 size, not sure if they'll fit my truck
Spewing. Im looking for something a little larger to go on a 499ci stroker. Largest I can find is 1 3/4. Ideally I'd like them to have 1 7/8 primaries. Any others hanging up on that wall of yours?
