Hello,
My name is Gary and I've been working on Chrysler products since I was eight years old and have been driving them almost as long. I've dealt with other brands, and owned a couple in the past, but I own and work only with Chrysler vehicles, and with regards to this site, Dodge trucks. I'm a retired engineer that has worked in the defense industry, satellite communications, telecommunications, computer systems administration, data center builds and operations, and my last 14 years were at Google as a hardware test engineer and technical writer.
My truck is a 1974 Dodge D200 Club Cab two wheel drive. It was originally a 400 engine with automatic transmission and 4.10:1 Dana 60 rear axle. It now has a 440, mostly stock with Magnum cam, headers, and dual exhaust. I rebuilt the transmission with a Trans-go shift kit and added limited slip (Sure Grip) to the Dana 60. The 8ft bed has been replaced with one from a 1987 D150. I replaced the original split rim 16" wheels with 1989 Dodge 16" stock steel wheels. I've rebuilt the front suspension and added a rear sway bar and gas shocks. The truck came with camper springs and wiring. The truck originally had two batteries and isolator for camper support, which I improved with a 100A Chrysler alternator and revised wiring, but I removed the second battery and isolator later. I've owned the truck since 1990 and it has ~245000 miles on it. It is a working truck, so it has some scars.
I also have a 1984 Ramcharger 2WD with a 360 automatic. The 360 has an earlier Thermo-Quad, port matched Performer intake, TriY headers, Lunati cam and re-worked electronic ignition. The automatic is modified and has a Transgo shift kit. I added an 8-3/4 rear axle from a 1974 D100 with 3.91:1 SureGrip. The wheels are 16x7 American Racing.
I also have a few "field" trucks, a 1971 D100 with 383, automatic and 3.23:1 Sure Grip, a 1976 D100 with a 318, automatic, and a 1999 1500 4WD with a 360, automatic.
Plus a 2017 Ram 1500, 5.7L, automatic, 3.92:1 SureGrip.
