Hello,

My name is Gary and I've been working on Chrysler products since I was eight years old and have been driving them almost as long. I've dealt with other brands, and owned a couple in the past, but I own and work only with Chrysler vehicles, and with regards to this site, Dodge trucks. I'm a retired engineer that has worked in the defense industry, satellite communications, telecommunications, computer systems administration, data center builds and operations, and my last 14 years were at Google as a hardware test engineer and technical writer.

My truck is a 1974 Dodge D200 Club Cab two wheel drive. It was originally a 400 engine with automatic transmission and 4.10:1 Dana 60 rear axle. It now has a 440, mostly stock with Magnum cam, headers, and dual exhaust. I rebuilt the transmission with a Trans-go shift kit and added limited slip (Sure Grip) to the Dana 60. The 8ft bed has been replaced with one from a 1987 D150. I replaced the original split rim 16" wheels with 1989 Dodge 16" stock steel wheels. I've rebuilt the front suspension and added a rear sway bar and gas shocks. The truck came with camper springs and wiring. The truck originally had two batteries and isolator for camper support, which I improved with a 100A Chrysler alternator and revised wiring, but I removed the second battery and isolator later. I've owned the truck since 1990 and it has ~245000 miles on it. It is a working truck, so it has some scars.

I also have a 1984 Ramcharger 2WD with a 360 automatic. The 360 has an earlier Thermo-Quad, port matched Performer intake, TriY headers, Lunati cam and re-worked electronic ignition. The automatic is modified and has a Transgo shift kit. I added an 8-3/4 rear axle from a 1974 D100 with 3.91:1 SureGrip. The wheels are 16x7 American Racing.

I also have a few "field" trucks, a 1971 D100 with 383, automatic and 3.23:1 Sure Grip, a 1976 D100 with a 318, automatic, and a 1999 1500 4WD with a 360, automatic.

Plus a 2017 Ram 1500, 5.7L, automatic, 3.92:1 SureGrip.

Welcome aboard from another Mopar guy and thanks for posting up the pictures! Very nice! I have never owned anything but Mopars myself, although I like other brands as well. I figured out way back when that staying with one brand made me more familiar and added the possibility of being able to scrounge parts from one to another as well as having to stock fewer varieties of things like oil filters & such. I was a grease monkey at a Dodge truck dealership way back in 1976.

Welcome Gary, you've got a couple of nice trucks there. I'm also retired engineer, aerospace and missile systems. Also Dodge only (except for the wife's Jeep). I've always wanted a RamCharger, but just haven't found a nice one yet (if there is such a thing anymore?). So, I've had to make do with my '53 B series. It's fun, its what I learned to drive in when I was about 9 or 10 on the farm. That was a long time ago.

Welcome to the site, nice trucks I used to have a Ramcharger 2wd just like yours, pretty much the same colour, club cabs are great but behind the seats is better for storage than sitting with those little jump seats.
