Anyone Know of anyone that Makes BB headers For a 83 D100 with 2 1/8 or 2 1/4 primary tubes ? I'm Located in Upstate NY
I agree, to big the tube and the pulses of exhaust going down each heater pipe will get lost in the size of the tube and NOT help pull in the new mixture into the cylinder to help fill the cylinder for need spark event. I have 1 7/8 tubes on my 66 Satellite ( 493 cu.in., 689HP/675lbft, doing 10.30's at 125-129mph). The bigger the tube the higher the RPM is needed to work as a header is designed. Especially because most likely must of your operating RPM will be 2500-5500, not 6,000 plus.If BB there is really no reason to go over 1 3/4". If BR then yes. But it all depends.
