1955 Dodge Pickup…. Need help.

Hi Dodge Truck owners,
I have a 1955 Dodge Job Rated Custom Deluxe pick up.
I need to remove the front windshield chrome/stainless molding. It is attached with Round-head rivets. How do I get the trim off as no grip on a rivet? Pretty sure they were made to be removed.
Anyone seen the? Removed the trim?

Center punch it and drill the head out

Many Thanks… good idea. Probably the only remedy. Replace rivets with screws.

The answer above is correct that is what I did on my 56, however I do not have the bottom corner peices you do so now that the windsheild is back in after paint I have not reinstalled the chrome trim. If you happen to come into some extras from a parts truck please let me know. Good luck with your project.

Yes…I will post back to you! I have been looking for these pieces for about 4 years.
I had to buy the whole truck when I only needed the windshield trim!
Want to buy a 1955 truck???

That's funny, I don't think I would go to that length for trim. It took me over 30 years to get to this stage with my current truck, I don't think I have enough years left to start another one, lol.
