The 5th and 7th plug wires were taken out today but the 5th wire broke, see pictures. However the 7th wire looked kinda nasty inside, again see pictures. We rednecked up a couple '67 318 plug wires to fit temporarily and cleared the misfire code to see if that does the trick, sure enough it...
AJ,
The truck does have the y pipe slightly blew out but not as much as my black Durango was. This damn Durango is weird though, I started it up yesterday and no light was on and i took it for a 40 minute drive yesterday too and still no light. When my stepdad plugged in the code reader he...
Well I got an update on my Durango-
I took it for 2 rides and no engine light came on, now I take it to the gas station yesterday to top off the tank and the light comes back on. Well since the 7th and 3rd spark plugs were swapped to see if that would make a difference, it did but for only 2...
I mispoke, my apologies. I never paid attention until you said something, I took it for a ride yesterday and yes I feel that though sometimes are worse than others. You can feel the engine miss when you go up a hill and sometimes when you take off, but sometimes you don't feel it when you take...
Update-
I did what Mr. AJ suggested with taking the plug out and swapping it with another, here is what the plug looked like when it was taken out after it was cleaned.....
While the plug was out my stepdad noticed that it was at about .50 so he tightened it a bit to .40. When that was done...
I got a strong feeling it's just the guage, I put mostly $40.00-$42.00 in it normally but it stops at like $35.00-$37.00 then I bring it to an even $40.00
How about the filler neck and the gauge? When I fill it up with gas the gas pump goes and goes but then stops and when I look at the gas gauge it's almost full but not completely, and then I go to put more gas in the tank and the gas pump goes then stops goes then stops and I do that until I see...
Fwiw, when I came out from my doctor appointment and it did not start that was the only time it did that. The light has been on since then and it has not had any other problems besides the light being on
Hi folks,
It's been awhile since I last posted here about my Durango. Well, I have yet another problem now.....
The check engine light is on. This first happened on Thanksgiving Day, so my stepdad plugged in his code reader and it said Cylinder misfire. He cleared the code then it ran fine...
Hello folks,
So very sorry I did not give an update on this. I did cut the plastic off as mentioned and put screws in place of the plastic. I unfortunately do not have photos as I did not think to take any. Thank you fine folks for the help on this little project since it was my first time...
I have a black 1999 Dodge Durango SLT 4X4 that I am deciding to sell. It has a good running 5.2 liter 318 engine with 246,459 miles on the odometer, but it has a weak/tired transmission. I have more pictures by request, just ask. Please read the "description" below and see all pictures before...
Not a panel replacement so to speak, but an inside door handle replacement as it is broken. I looked on RockAuto and they have just a door handle for like $5.00 bucks
