Definitely piqued my interest. Not sure I can pull it off. I live in North Carolina. Have to take a week off work, fly out.... Tough to find one rust free.
I saw a 426 in a 1975 D100 at MOPARS at the Rock, Rockingham, NC. That was in 2013. I have pictures on print film. Could scan them and post here. Maybe this weekend.
That truck is too nice to part out !
I doubt I would drive to Maryland to get parts but just in case you make an offer I can't refuse....
What do you want for the bed?
Right side passenger door?
I just purchased the very same brake line about 4 months ago. Fairly certain it came from Right Stuff Detailing. Had the armor coil around it, too.
Could have been from LMC. One day I might be able to find the receipt.
Far as I know "RV" cam is like you say, low rpm torque, heavy vehicle, street cams. RV just a term because that's the type of vehicle where they are commonly found. I don't know the specs. on an RV cam. And I suspect there are several different grinds that would qualify for that generic term...
I'm looking for something similar, low end torque. There are custom cam grinders. Elgen Cams, which I think is in California could be an option. You fill out a form giving the specs. on your engine and what you want. They regrind your cam.
Crane Cams has some off the shelf cams, couple of them...
I saw an ad on Craigslist: parting out dodge intrepid
Text messages goes like this:
Me: Intrepid, does it have the 3.5 engine
Seller: possibly
Me: the 8th digit in the vin is the engine size
Emblem on top of engine, too
Also interested in the wheels
Seller: vin is on the dash , drivers side...
72-80 outer wheelhouse panels. They are the first things to rust out on these trucks.
Interior door panels. something other than black, too.
dash pads, other than black
wiring harness, any and all of them
I've used door window seals from LMC for my 1975 truck. They are very good fit and appearance. How close they are to the original in material and appearance, I don't know. The original seals were all but gone.
I really think it's some form of arrogance or maybe even mental illness. If he took that outstanding looking survivor truck and made it a rat rod. He could then boast to everyone, "look what I did". "look how I did this".
Over the past year or so, I've seen 2 or 3 dodge trucks of that vintage on...
I got the DD1, the ones that dump in the center. I bought them from another retailer, they were on sale for $100.00 below list.
Sanderson does not use a header flange gasket. Instead they use a bead of high temperature RTV sealant. Just follow the instructions. It works! Got several hundred...
For my 1979 D100 (should be the same frame as your '73) I put Sanderson Shorty Headers. They have thicker than average flanges and heavier than average gauge tubes. Don't recall the exact specs. but, it's on the Sanderson website. Also, they are 1 and 1/2 inch primaries which is a better size...
Got the motor and transmission back in the truck(last summer). Treated and painted the core support I got from the junkyard.
Drove the truck around just a little. Adjusted the throttle pressure linkage. Shifts fine. But, I've taken it off the road for other work.
Here a picture of the core...
Does anyone here know where the CB antenna would be located on a 1979 Dodge D100? This is with the factory installed CB radio.
Could it be the same antenna as the FM radio?
