The sensor was bad.

I have a 2006 Durango bought New in 06. No problem until now, oil light flickers at idle in gear, now it’s starting to flicker when going 35mph. It’s full of oil. What should I do? Put it in the shop and have the oil pump replaced or what? I’m 73 and this is my only vehicle? Thanks for all the help.
